i just cannot take the anti-trans athletes crowd seriously. there are far more serious & prevalent issues that affect women’s athletes but i’m supposed to believe the same people who say “nobody watches women’s sports” are suddenly activists who care about women’s sports
Dave Zirin made a great point on The Collision “Where Sports And Politics Collide” they are treating Caitlin Clark like she is this delicate flower that needs protecting. That should be not only insulting but also offensive to any athlete.

the reason women's fans are so hesitant to unconditionally root for the us men's team is because we don't get the same support back. we are expected to support a team and environment that doesn't respect the women's game
@JeniVance08@jennatonelli Oh sure I understand, but you’re pulling my responses in a whole other direction. My point is why don’t more people from NYC come to SI? NJ people don’t have the same accessibility to transportation as NYC and they’re being called “undedicated” for being unable to go to Queens.
@JeniVance08@jennatonelli Didn’t I just say NYC has a ton of transportation options? Gotham offered a fan bus in BK and Manhattan and they said they stopped doing it bc no one took it… I don’t live in NJ, but what are you saying those residents don’t understand?
@JeniVance08@jennatonelli Sure, then why didn’t all of them come to Jersey? This works both ways. It’s easier for an NYC resident to get to SI than some Jersey/PA fans. I’ve even traveled from LI when at school and it takes about an hour. It’s more accessible to leave NYC than it is to get into NYC.
