You can criticize President Trump’s policies. You can debate tariffs, inflation, interest rates, or spending.

But the economic data are not simply a story of an economy “falling apart.”

📈 U.S. stocks remain near record territory, with major indexes posting strong year-to-date gains.

💰 Real median household income hit a record $87,460 in 2025.

📉 The official poverty rate fell to 10.2% in 2025, while child poverty reached a historic low of 13.4%.

🍎 Food inflation was 2.7% year-over-year in August 2026, with food-at-home inflation at 2.2%.

🇺🇸 So when someone says “the economy is worse under Trump,” don’t just trade political talking points.

LOOK AT THE NUMBERS.

The economy is complicated. Americans can still be struggling with high prices and affordability while other economic indicators improve. But pretending every economic indicator is moving in the wrong direction isn’t supported by the data.
