@ZahiraJaser I was going for "authenticity is socially constructed" here. The recent work by @NikSteffens et al. in #LQ (2016, 2021 - both with studies in the pol context) may serve your argument that authenticity / auth lead lies in the eye of the beholder.

@Drfosbrink You don't! Well, I don't anymore. It was just too frustrating. I switched to an open-format submission. I suggest/recommend APA but stopped making it a requirement. Criteria are consistency and readability.

What makes a champion?

An analysis of over 6,000 athletes found distinct differences between those who made it to world-class versus those who didn't progress from child star.

Similar research has been done on one-hit wonders and Nobel Laureates.
