@ZahiraJaser I was going for "authenticity is socially constructed" here. The recent work by @NikSteffens et al. in #LQ (2016, 2021 - both with studies in the pol context) may serve your argument that authenticity / auth lead lies in the eye of the beholder.
@Drfosbrink You don't! Well, I don't anymore. It was just too frustrating. I switched to an open-format submission. I suggest/recommend APA but stopped making it a requirement. Criteria are consistency and readability.
@Meli123452 @f_mols Small but important note: The paper is available #openaccess. Thanks to @LMU_Muenchen and @deal_projekt! Happy to chat with everyone interested in our research!
What makes a champion?
An analysis of over 6,000 athletes found distinct differences between those who made it to world-class versus those who didn't progress from child star.
Similar research has been done on one-hit wonders and Nobel Laureates.
Here's what they found:
In their newsletter, @jayvanbavel & @dominicpacker_ (@PowerOfUsBook) feature our research (@alexanderhaslam@NikSteffens) on leaders' use of We and Us. A fact not to forget: Using We & Us is a mean of cultivating a collective identity, not an end itself. https://t.co/RllDUWrqv4
@alexanderhaslam You may need to check your inbox again! You may also have been invited to publish in the "International Journal of Fisheries and Aquatic Studies" after our pub in @BPSOfficial. That's the thing with "catchy" paper titles: The fish can rot... https://t.co/WcnGlSENbr @mazlanmaskor
What I love about conferences: stimulating out-of-the-box thinking & new ideas! Really interesting virtual #AOM2022 symposium about #AI as a #team member - a future that is closer than you think… love what we can learn from science fiction @FlorianKlonek
@WeTransformWork
@KaiSassenberg Totally agree with you. I honestly couldn't believe it when they gave us that response. I guess the reviewers don't realize (understandably) that there is still work to be done for them.
@jacasiegel It's a large field but when your student considers looking at it from a social identity perspective I'd recommend all the fantastic scholars contributing to @icsis2021 (@alexanderhaslam@PsycANU @DrMattSlater @KatrienFransen @filip_boen @NikSteffens@uqchasla and many many more)
