@LifeOfLauraVlog Thanks so much for your kindness, Laura. I am and I do. I learned to lay blame where blame is due - 100% on the men who chose to brutalize me - but it wasn't easy in a society that still blames victims.
THREAD: Men can live in a world of sexual harassment and violence against girls/women and not be impacted personally. This is privilege. When this is pointed out, we become uncomfortable, then annoyed. As if we are being victimized by not being allowed to go on ignoring it all /1
Boys can be tender.
Boys can be talkative.
Boys can be imaginative.
Boys can be nurturing.
Boys can be whatever blend of brilliant they want to be.
End gender policing.
Today marks the three year anniversary of the first time I protested systemic oppression. I continue to work and stand with the people in our fight for liberation, despite those who are trying to erase the movement! The movement has always lived with the people! ✊🏾

Demanding various good behaviours from children, but not from ourselves, shows them that the rules don't apply to the person with power.
The damaging impact of this thinking is all through society. Show children that no matter your power or privilege, the rules apply equally.
@nytimes This article is disappointing. Exploring the killer's 'stress' while his partner is in agony and his child's life violently ended is gross. Perpetuating the 'stress made him snap' DV myth is dangerous.
It's fascinating to see people argue that women won't really be punished if abortion is illegal. Here are some things that have *already* happened to women despite Roe:
