I was interviewed for the Out There podcast a while ago, and it was just released today!
The story is about one person's experience at the intersection of exercise and being AuDHD. It's definitely an intersection near and dear to my heart.

Thanks to @morethanadodo and @NHM_London for conveniently choosing the same color palette in your Drawn to Nature and Drawing Life events this week! I enjoyed developing my observational skills with art in natural history settings.
Something very tiny for day 3 of our Advent Calendar! The King Lab works with microscopic nematodes, C. elegans, which are useful models in genetics, development, and infection. The red dye shows the nuclei and the green is GFP being expressed from a histone-coding gene. @m_ordv
@verissimodiogo@morethanadodo @OxZooDept @IWTnet@TuftsCHDept We had both planned and unplanned visits to #BacterialWorld by a range of people with and without science background. Average visit time for those interviewed was 20 mins and unsurprisingly the visitors who planned ahead were more likely to spend longer in the exhibit.
@verissimodiogo@morethanadodo @OxZooDept @IWTnet@TuftsCHDept Big take-away for me: the capacity of art to communicate science. Viewing @ELINtm Petri dish crochet & @LukeJerram sculptures made visitors see bacteria are everywhere! Also, visitors use personification to discuss the microscopic and like components most relevant to their lives
@m_ordv @OxZooDept Part of my DPhil involves doing an internship outside of the lab. I became interested in evaluation after #OxPER2018, where I learned it is often an afterthought so I wanted to make it main goal of internship.
@verissimodiogo@morethanadodo @OxZooDept @IWTnet@TuftsCHDept More specifically, we had interview questions that aligned with exhibit aims e.g. Understand more about where bacteria are, how they operate and that they bring many benefits as well as causing harm; Feel surprise and awe at the scale of bacteria’s influence on us and our planet
@verissimodiogo@morethanadodo @OxZooDept @IWTnet I learned about changing health knowledge, attitudes, and practices during my undergrad classes at @TuftsCHDept, though not scope of #BacterialWorld. @morethanadodo will post more on methods tomorrow - interviews, visitor tracking, component observation - both qual and quant data
Hello, I'm @m_ordv - I'm an @OxZooDept DPhil student & I've just finished an internship in the Public Engagement team @morethanadodo where I evaluated #BacterialWorld - their previous exhibition. Over the next few days feel free to #askmeanything
@hmo13@morethanadodo @OxZooDept Depends on your aims! Our simplest evaluation tool involved using sticky notes on a poster for visitors to leave feedback at end. Would have also been interesting to compare pre and post visit perceptions of bacteria

“Only call in an emergency” cautioned our pregnant landlord.
Faucet erupts, gushing steaming water. Husband answers phone. “Can it wait? Pam’s water just broke...” #GWstorieseverywhere
