As regards to the movies, Bakshi LotR > Jackson LotR IMO. I still get hot under the collar about being robbed of a part 2. Rankin & Bass’s Hobbit is amazing, but after Bakshi I can’t watch their Return of the King.

@Evil0Dan @uncle_deluge Just as pass on the lore: in some versions of Exodus from the Long Sun, Horn’s revealing line “I burst into the room” was changed to “Horn burst into the room” because of a real world editor or typesetters confusion. Wolfe was miffed.
