The very one that the Russians tried to destroy last night.
There was a time of severe electricity shortages… but there was a lot of light within.
Russia launched a "Geran-2" drone strike on the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
The "Geran-2" is a Russian version of the Iranian Shahed drone. The SSU has established that some of its components were manufactured in the "Alabuga" special economic zone.
As a result of the attack, the cathedral's roofing, domes, walls, and glass windows were damaged.
The strike has been classified as a war crime.
Russia will be held accountable for all its strikes.
Russia launched yet another round of ballistic missile strikes on Kyiv overnight on June 15, striking the city’s historic Assumption Cathedral within the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, one of Ukraine’s most significant religious and cultural sites.
The Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, a labyrinthine monastery and cave complex that holds some of Ukraine’s most revered shrines and relics, came under direct fire — marking the second strike against the site of Russia’s full-scale war and only the third since World War II.

When Russians feel they’re losing, they like to pretend their war has been governed by the laws of armed conflict up to this point, as if Bucha, Irpin, Borodyanka, Mariupol, mass torture, summary executions, rape, the nightly bombing of civilians, the theft of children — not to mention the very invasion itself — were somehow “gloves on” modes of combat.

EXCLUSIVE: Each day since the start of the war, U.S. military officials compile a video update for President Trump that shows the biggest, most successful strikes on Iranian targets over the previous 48 hours.
But the military can’t brief Trump on every strike and so the video, while it showcases U.S. capabilities, doesn’t reflect the full scope of the conflict.
“We can’t tell him every single thing that happens,” a current U.S. official said. The official noted that Trump’s briefings tend to draw better feedback from his aides when they focus on U.S. victories.

🚨 A moment when a Russian Shahed drone hit the historic city center of Lviv, right next to the famous Bernardine Church and Monastery. At least two people were seriously injured.
Ukraine’s drone commander Robert “Madyar” Brovdi doesn’t usually give interviews. I managed to persuade him. As architect and chief implementer of Ukraine’s infantry attrition strategy, few people have been as consequential in this war. https://t.co/GJaJgFPjL5
