@CdvDankDonk @doublehandle @sexyvegancommie @KindaHagi If I wanted to be sad and bored I'd just live my own life, dont need to experience it vicariously through a horse.
@emnightcat @MaximumADHD Executive dysfunction is a symptom of LOADS of disorders though. And the executive dysfunction in adhd IS mediated by 'attention' as a psychological concept, so the attention deficit is the thing causing the executive dysfunction. The name isnt great but there are better alternat
@MarloweTurtle @MaximumADHD I don't mean to sound rude, because I cant know everything from one tweet, but executive dysfunction is a key feature of autism too, so you would need to have more adhd issues than just that to be concerned about having it too.
@rayandbae1 @GMT8001 @darrenrovell Not really. A fear of public speaking might be social anxiety disorder, a literal phobia (real phobias are mental disorders), or any number of things. Learning a skill might help someone do something, but wont cure them. if i learn how to run proper it wont cure my broken ankle.
@GMT8001 @darrenrovell "social anxiety disorder" is a real mental health disorder that can manifest for talking but not for physical nonsocial actions.
Running is a skill, so people with painful knee joints just need to learn how to run in the same way that I (someone whose knees dont hurt) do.
@jaynereadman@lynstar_16 Right, instead of being offended by racism they were offended by the existence of other races. Not exactly a good thing though is it? (No one is saying you can't enjoy her writing, just to be aware of their content)
@LeaveEUOfficial No one is saying you can't read her books, just to be aware of their content. Also, even at the time of writing (last century, not all that long ago) people were questioning the content of her books.
@BlueSpaceCanary @buttpraxis Yes, but it's good to be aware that caffeine can still.have negative health effects for people with adhd. Eg. if they also have preexisting heart or anxiety issues. Also actual meds are still more effective and actually safer than high dosages of caffeine.
@AnaNuann@GeoTwit4 @coherentstates The problem with the term sapiosexual isnt that they find intelligence attractive, most people do, intelligence is a positive trait. The issue is the way that it pathologises and uses a sexuality label for it. People who find strength attractive don't define themselves by it.
@LBC@NickFerrariLBC If Croft used to dread Osaka's interviews, imagine how much Osaka dreaded them. Also, It is not Osaka's responsibility alone to encourage future female tennis players. Imagine how unwelcome future tennis players with mental health issues now feel?
@OnlyTalkingSen1 @JoeDeakin12 @ShShh@lgarf3@haynesey89@BBCNews social anxiety is a complex issue. one common feature is that it can only affect direct communication. so yes. certain situations produce anxiety, others like the impersonal non-communicatively-social nature of sport don't.
Having a peaceful break in the mental health closet in the dead center of the factory floor where all my coworkers can visually observe that I'm having a bad mental health day & stare at the lower half of my body through the partially-windowed door
@barstoolsports@LightsCameraPod Star wars is the least edgy film, therefore the plot would not allow the protectee to die. Plot armour is more important than the skill of the protector.
