Sadly, the time has come to move out of X/Twitter. I don't like the culture and I don't like the boss. I will gradually move to @mfoulkes.bsky.social. Come and see me over there.
Me in 1993 as a staff nurse on oncology ward at Charing Cross Hospital, @ImperialNHS London, UK. I already knew my career would be in cancer care. I would later become a CNS Head and Neck Cancer. @UKONSmember@CancerLead#NationalCancerCNSDay
So.....this is me two weeks ago picking up my MBE for 'services to nursing'. I need to say that my time as a CNS in Head and Neck Cancers and in brain tumours was the defining role in my career. Happy #NationalCancerCNSDay@UKONSmember@CancerLead@macmillancancer

@shiv_smith @caspertown42 @alisonleary1@claire_taylor22 The ACCEND programme is up and rolling again after a hiatus. I am still involved with the RETA (registered, enhanced, towards advanced) and @DaBell5 still working with the LACE (advanced, leadership and consultant practice) element.
@shiv_smith @caspertown42 @alisonleary1@claire_taylor22 That's currently the situation but that's not something that's been created or perpetuated by the ACCEND programme. What I am interested in is having a broader definition of advanced practice and access for CNSs....if this fits with their role.
