@jttkemp Grossman led three polls prior, and the Data For Progress poll was text-to-web. That is a favorable format for her, and Sean McElwee is on the record praising her and criticizing the rest of the field. The crosstab data in it also showed her ceiling, she was weak with undecideds.

After the final Franklin count, I am convinced #MA04 and #MAPOLI should have backed Grossman as the candidate to beat Jake. If she gets Maura Healey’s endorsement, I think Jake doesn’t come close to Congress!

As expected, @JakeAuch took Franklin last night, netting 656 votes over @jessemermell, enough for the AP to make a call and for Auchincloss to declare victory. In the end, Auchincloss won 25 municipalities, Mermell 6, and Grossman 3. #MA04

@rascality This is an interesting take as Grossman ran at or near Auchincloss in the Southern part of the district. Had she dropped or was no longer viable, one has to think her votes go to him, and his margin of victory would have been much larger.
