It’s very #interesting how people will see Ariana Grande, Demi Moore, & other emaciated women in Hollywood and wonder how it got this bad but ALSO be mad when ppl point out the consistent messaging in marketing that leads women to be self conscious about their bodies 🌚

were they or told they would be singing together until 30 seconds before the performance lmao?? why are you gesturing "ok sure i guess you can sing that line" halfway through a song
@sakcore18@iliwyscharm ppl have tried so hard to insist her ppl *must* be looking out for her + that mv has made that hard to believe
a whole crew lit the video that way. an entire label team ok'd it. like you said a marketing team chose to emphasize it. SO many ppl signed off on this + it's upsetting
and i fear it's all culminating in them only listening to the worst "being visibly sick means she shouldn't even exist in public" feedback and not the essentially important "she seems likely very ill and in need of care and intervention, not to be a workhorse" feedback
i sincerely hope this means she's actually getting help and they aren't just hiding her away to cover up the problem, but the emphasis on how well she's doing is not inspiring confidence
Ariana Grande has dropped out of ‘Sunday in the Park with George.’ (via PEOPLE)
They also report that Grande plans to “take a step back from public visibility” after the end of her tour following “intensified public scrutiny.”

idk i have a lot of thoughts but i do think her team has failed her massively. this discourse is not healthy for the world at large but also not for *her*. letting the level of bodychecking in that mv get through, letting her get all of the feedback on that... it's so dangerous

You read that homeless women are being raped and immediately blamed homeless men because you associate violence with poverty, whole time the primary perpetrators or rape of homeless women AND MEN are housed people (and cops) who lure them with promises of food, shelter and work.
Prisciliano Trejo, who had leukemia, was reportedly denied medical care by ICE for 8 days while in a detention center run by CoreCivic.
He died just days later — and ICE is already shirking accountability. After denying him care, they released him to his family, where he died shortly after. They likely did this to avoid having another official death in custody and to keep their own horrific statistics from looking worse.
ICE and CoreCivic cannot get away with this. We must eliminate every for-profit detention facility and dismantle ICE entirely.
A Johns Hopkins University researcher, originally from Cameroon, was detained by ICE officers at Baltimore Washington International Airport, according to the university, which said it is "deeply concerned" about the matter. https://t.co/RfNYNxTrLj
