First of all I believe this is nothing but propaganda being pushed around by Hon’ble MP Srinagar Agha @RuhullahMehdi.

Sir, with due respect the checking you are talking about is the same checking where @JmuKmrPolice have seized crores worth of drugs. These nakas and checkpoints are there to prevent drug trafficking terrorism and other unlawful activities and to keep people safe. If you take responsibility for such unlawful activities, perhaps then the police can reconsider these measures. I am a civilian a youth and a student. My friends and I travel regularly. We are from #Pulwama and sometimes we even travel at night for picnics to Pahalgam, Gulmarg trips or other places. Police ask where we are from check the vehicle and if everything is fine, they simply say Go, beta no worries. At most we are delayed by two or three minutes. And honestly that two or three minute check is also a protection for us. These very checkpoints have helped bust drug networks and maintain security so that unnecessary incidents do not happen in Kashmir.

And Ruhullah Sahab, I genuinely don’t understand what you are talking about. I am a Gen-Z student. Before 2019 I witnessed what Kashmir was like. In 2016 I couldn’t even regularly attend my classes. We witnessed blood on the streets, pellets, shutdowns, hartals, closed markets and schools being affected. Today markets are open. People are travelling. People are going out at night. Tourism is growing. People are living their lives. So what exactly are you talking about? Do you want us to spread hate and propaganda? Because that is what your question seems to be encouraging.

And please don’t compare #Kashmir with #POK.

And sir no one’s voice has been silenced. People openly speak about their rights
criticize governments and criticize politicians on social media every day. Everyone has the right to speak.

As for people in jail we also feel for their families. May Allah ease their pain. If someone is innocent the law should ensure justice. But if someone is guilty, they must face the consequences according to the law. If I commit a serious crime tomorrow, does that mean I should be released the next day? If I become a drug peddler and the police catch me, does that mean I should immediately be free? No. If I have committed a crime I have to face the law.

And regarding jobs, no one has simply snatched people’s jobs. Under SRO-43, jobs have been provided to genuine victims real Martyrs and families affected by terrorism. Where action has been taken against someone there are legal reasons behind it particularly in cases involving links to or support for terrorism.

I could say much more on this, but I think I will leave it here.
