@lynchk16 2A SIGs can file amicus curiae briefs in order to influence a courts decision. They can also directly sponsor cases to draw attention to them. I hope to attend either UT or UTD because both have well established business schools. #lynchapgovmob#lynchapgovtwitterchat
@Ansh75219072 @lynchk16 Although I agree that SIGs influence what C and B do, I don’t think they control what they do because ultimately C makes the decisions
@lynchk16 2A The iron triangle is the relationship between Congress, bureaucracies, and SIGs linked through policy making. I think that Congress has the greatest impact on society because they actually have the greatest individual impact on a citizen. #lynchapgovmob#lynchapgovtwitterchat
@lynchk16 SIGs buy influence through favorable votes and support. SIGs should be able to donate to candidates or parties but should abide by heavy regulations to combat corruption #lynchapgovmob#lynchapgovtwitterchat
@lynchk16 The revolving door is when a congressman later becomes a lobbyist. Former congressmen are usually the most effective lobbyists. I think that this is ethical because they are experienced in the field and have the right to persuade others to support their policies
@KyleSlack15@vince08207564 @lynchk16 I agree that SIGs should be able to donate to campaigns but there should be heavy restrictions due the high risk of corruption
@katpip007 @lynchk16 Though I agree that abuse of power is a possibility, I think that it is ethical because their experience can be useful in expressing the information of certain policies.
@lynchk16 Lobbyists are people who influence and persuade policy makers toward specific policies. I think that more regulation on lobbying should be placed to deter the chance of bribery and loopholes. #lynchapgovmob#lynchapgovtwitterchat
@RehmanGov @lynchk16 Although I agree that lobbying is regulated effectively to a certain degree, I still believe that regulations on bribery can further increase this effectiveness
