الـ FDE قد يكتب الكود بنفسه، وقد يعمل مع فرق هندسية أخرى، لكنه ليس مجرد One-Man Show أو مترجم لمتطلبات العميل.

قيمته الحقيقية في اكتشاف المشكلة، وبناء الحل، وإثبات قيمته للعميل.

وهنا الفرق بين مهندس ينفذ ما يطلبه العميل، ومهندس يساعد العميل على اكتشاف ما يحتاجه فعلا.

برأيكم، هل الشركات اليوم تفهم دور الـ FDE، أم أننا أمام مسمى و��يفي جديد لمهام موجودة أصلا؟

في الفترة الأخيرة، بدأنا نشوف شركات كثيرة تبحث عن Forward Deployed Engineers.

لكن هل فعلا تدرك هذه الشركات طبيعة الدور والقيمة التي يقدمها؟

طيب، ماذا يحدث عندما ينجح الحل؟

هل تنتهي مسؤوليته ويسلمه لفريق Engineering آخر؟

ليس بالضرورة.

قد ينتقل الحل لفريق يتولى تطويره والتوسع فيه، وقد يستمر الـ FDE حتى يحقق العميل القيمة المطلوبة.

وما يتعلمه من العميل قد يتحول إلى تحسينات في المنتج الأساسي.

إذا كان التوسع مهمًا، لا يكفي أن تقيس عدد الفروع.

راقب أيضًا:

• Revenue per Store
• Same-Store Sales Growth
• Contribution Margin
• Inventory Turnover
• ROIC
