I would boil it down to a simple question: are your neighborhoods safer and your tax dollars better served when you reduce barriers to employment, housing, etc. or when you increase them?

This is about preventing people from being relegated to a permanent underclass after they've already paid their debt to society.

Shedeur is that young associate/partner who's been deemed "problematic" by the higher-ups because he's too confident and doesn't naturally defer to the hierarchy. So he has to be put in his place.
