@RoxxoDr@Teachers__Unite All the boards I am familiar with take funds from the GSN to ensure special education runs better. The funding formula there has not kept up with need.
@McDonaldsCanada my son just was told he didn’t have enough remaining balance on a gift card in store and the store manager slammed the drive thru window in his face and kept the balance.
@DollfaceCYC@cclava123 @TorontoTeacherX ☝️ this is 100% correct. For them to give any info is a breach of CYFSA. Access to this info is for children and families.
@Ready2020Ru@Sflecce Yes I do. I do wonder about how well it works however and whether the filter needs changing. I’ve never seen them changed and there is no record like you see on the MERV filters (I am H&S rep at my school).
@LALegault@osbcucscso They were wearing purple for Wear Purple Day on October 27 in recognition of children and youth in care organized by Ontario Association of Children’s Aid societies. Merilee Fullerton is the minister.
@jellibeans123 @CheriDiNovo It really bothers me when people make fun of the way someone talks, especially when you are basically ridiculing their region or level of education. Please stop this.
@mcleanconsult @tanya_comrie @heymrsbond It’s about the kids, not the adults. The severing of the primary attachment figure, even in infancy is traumatic. It is sometimes necessary, but it is not less so.
@tanya_comrie @heymrsbond So happy for that child who did not have to experience the pain and trauma of adoption. The well being of that child is front and centre.
@bren1818@CanadianPolling Sure but that’s advice to members, not direction on what to teach. I have never seen anything from the union that told us to teach students to support a specific party.
@bren1818@CanadianPolling Where are you getting that? I taught grade 5 (civics) for years. we teach the curriculum, not what the union says. I never share a single political belief with my students. I want them to think and develop their own opinions of how politics should shape their society.
@kentstwocents@DFisman Why would she? Liberals, like the Tories are in it for themselves and their friends. Remember the gas plants? E-Health? The idea someone who is in favour of progressive politics would vote liberal is laughable. They just campaign as progressives. #liberaltorysameoldstory
@johnenisbet@TomPark1n It is too important - liberals are just Tories that promise the right things to siphon off NDP support and then govern for their friends. Remember the gas plants? Bill 115? No thanks! #liberaltorysameoldstory
