@jonoread I've done both CBT and talking therapy, and I have found them both useful in different ways. Talking has been good for grief and for processing traits and behaviours and is the one I have stuck with. I think it will be a constant work in progress, TBH. ❤️

I didn't enjoy the second half of Elizabeth Gilbert's City of Girls as much as the first but what a ROMP it is. It's colourful and quick and everything I look for in a light but emotional summer read. The lightness is to its credit, by the way - it's not a slight!

It took me a really long time to get to Olive Kitteridge by Elizabeth Strout and now I can't wait to read Olive, Again. I think it is perfect. It's like a heartfelt literary soap opera, in the best possible way. I laughed, cried and by the end, I really wanted to move to Maine.

My niece turned 3 today!! She asked for a Lion King cake but specifically the moment where Mufasa dies, because “everyone will be too sad to eat the cake and it will be all for me.”
