Congrats 6th grade artist, Ananya V! Her video won the NAWIC Det. Chapter annual Rosie the Riveter Creative Contest. It promotes awareness of women's roles in history & the future of manufacturing & trades. Ananya won $250 & can exhibit her work at Rosie Day at the Capitol. @NCSD

Getting Zen in Art. The 6th graders practiced mindfulness in art as they created Zen Tangles. They learned to be present in their work and how to use hatching, crosshatching, and pointillism as techniques to create values of gray using sharpie marker. 💚🤍🎨@NCSD @NoviK6Electives
