The CSHA Men’s Representative side completed a successful event at HMS Temeraire, Portsmouth yesterday with a 4-1 victory over The Army to finish unbeaten in the three game series.
@tommyialexander@MemEnglandhokey And until Bisham Abbey is moved to a different location or the way the international set up is run is changed there will continue to be this slide unless you have a stream of players coming to you for other reasons e.g uni/ school.
@MemEnglandhokey With all this preparation and specific focus on the national team, surely we’ll see some really positive results against big nations that will prepare them for the big international tournaments 🤔
@RussellLuke24@MemEnglandhokey This use to be how it worked in the midlands, can’t say whether it worked or not but certainly stopped uni teams from dominating.
@MemEnglandhokey@EnglandHockey Wonder if the reason England hockey have changed the way they charge clubs is to now start planning to fill that void they’re going to have post LA.
@RussellLuke24 Great blog and a lot of sensible ideas. Couldn’t agree more about the second team and we probably need to address universities and the fact that there’s a very clear south base around the internationals.
@GoaleeMurph@Addershockey Will raise it with the new skipper and coach. Need to see what our pre season plan looks like and when we have our players around. (Too many cricketers and students)
@gazza0303@CNWHC@MRHARESULTS@KhalsaLeamHC Well UoB tried their best to get themselves down but despite throwing away a 3-1 lead to draw 3-3 they will survive. This gives Khalsa and Loughborough town a reprieve from mids prem/ mids 1.
@GoaleeMurph@LucasBall2211@MemEnglandhokey@EnglandHockey I’ve been wondering this, Twitter still seems to have the most active hockey community but I hate that it’s supporting Musk. Clubs seem to be going towards Instagram but that’s less engaging other than to throw out team sheets, fixtures and results.
@GoaleeMurph All games off for us. First time I think we’ve ever had them all called off on a Friday. If only we had a version of our sport that we could play during the coldest time and was accessible to all teams…
