My unsolicited advice just build whatever you want to build, then add a bit of your own identity to it.
Imagine if McDonald wouldnโt start because thereโs a KFC.
please i beg you: don't build another calorie counter or prayer lock app
do this instead:
- find high-volume, low-competition keywords, ask Claude how to do so
- check the top 3 competing apps, analyze their reviews
- build around for those keywords with 1 core feature, no extra noise
- once app approved, dump $50 on Apple search ads to get a better boost
thank me later.
@matthi_ai@athcanft Weekly, Yearly and Lifetime is a nice combo, just make sure not to show the lifetime by default, have a button or toggle to show it and price it based on your niche/market value. Never price it low.
@noironsol Danโs article wasnโt about overnight transformation. It was about awareness, seeing whatโs missing and turning that discomfort into fuel (Law of Conservation of Energy). Change happens iteratively, not magically, despite the clickbait title. Nice take though
@david_attisaas You said it right, โfanboysโ. The whole industry is made of copycats. Product owners do not or should not care about that as long as you inject your own identity in the already existing โideaโ.
