@ProfessorStacie I was definitely shocked to see how much money went into the classroom, and the students. The teacher I observed had a ticket system, and would reward her students with chips, drinks, and candy. That adds up fast.
@ProfessorStacie Covid really was a major set back in the students education. Even after students returned to school, most did not attend and the restrictions were insane. It’s great to hear, that they are taking steps to getting them back on track with their testing!
@ProfessorStacie Having a connection individually with students is extremely important! A big part of teaching is your students having trust in you. If they know that you as a teacher take the time to know them individually, they will be more likely to succeed in your class.
@Cole_Bishop_5@ProfessorStacie That’s definitely going to be hard, but you can make it to where even for a little while out of their day they know their loved and safe!
@addison_frazier@ProfessorStacie I know with me, having a new teacher was always exciting! Not all, but a lot of students get tired of the same ole same. You’ll do great!
@Marandak02@ProfessorStacie Time management is definitely going to be something we all will have to get good at! You’re definitely not alone with this feeling.
@ProfessorStacie Keep in mind, my goal is High School English, and my fear is the students not engaging in the class leaving me to be extra forceful. Everything else is scary too, but my goal is to have a fun and educated class. High School kids can definitely be defiant.
@brandon48442660@ProfessorStacie I think that is super important, because kids need a sense of comfort especially if they have a bad home life, or even just a bad day.
@magsterssssss @ProfessorStacie A lot of schools now pick out favorites and i’m glad you want to be a teacher who wants to demonstrate equality to everyone.
@ProfessorStacie I want to be remembered as the fun and positive teacher. I want to be creative and fun when it comes to teaching different topics but also serious. I feel if students know that “man this class isn’t going to be boring” they will want to show up and participate!
