@maggie_wright03@ProfessorStacie I learned about the pay thing a few years back, but I was going to write the same about how much time teachers spend in their rooms but decided on something else! They really do spend a lot of time in there, especially that first year I heard.
@ProfessorStacie The most surprising thing for me was either being informed about how much money teachers actually spend out of pocket each school year or how short of lunches the teacher I observed got!
@ProfessorStacie I really didn’t know how big inclusion had gotten in schools today! Learning about it and then seeing it for myself during my service learning time were two very different experiences. I have really learned a lot about the process, pros and cons.
@gabby_hedgecoth@ProfessorStacie I agree! Everything completely changed and it has negatively impacted everything. I’m glad schools are working to make things better for students!
@ProfessorStacie I believe the pandemic negatively impacted the whole world, especially school systems. Everything completely changed, and schools suffered because of it Teachers, school systems, and even students need to work together to get learning back to the way it was before the pandemic.
@RebeccaEdu2021@ProfessorStacie I agree. I’m glad there is early intervention to help them, because people with exceptionalities deserve all the help they can get. The sooner they can get that help, the better!
@CookeMakenzie@ProfessorStacie Yes! I learned this too, but I’m glad intervention comes as a package deal with the family because these exceptionalities do not just affect the person diagnosed. It affects the people close to them, families, and they also need help.
@ProfessorStacie The earlier, the more help and support someone with exceptionalities and their loved ones can receive. This module taught me just how vital that early intervention is, the benefits it offers, and how much it can impact people with these disabilities.
@Cole_Bishop_5@ProfessorStacie It is so important to have that trust with your students and for them to know you’re always there to help with whatever they need!
@PiperSlavey01@ProfessorStacie I agree, it is important to know how each student learns because everyone learns differently. Every student should feel valid.
@ProfessorStacie Connecting to your students individually shows each student that you care about them. This is important for respecting and trusting each other, and building that relationship with each student. Being connected also helps teachers get to know their students.
@HannahBroyhill@ProfessorStacie I agree! They deserve the best quality of life possible, and I believe always having the opportunity of assistance is a great thing for them!
@ProfessorStacie I believe that individuals with exceptionalities deserve the right of help, no matter the age. Exceptionalities don’t stop once you graduate. These individuals will carry them through life, so it is important for them to know help is always available nearby.
@Cole_Bishop_5@ProfessorStacie This scares me too. It is a big reason that I have made goals to make my classroom a positive environment and happy place, because you never know what students face outside of the classroom.
@PiperSlavey01@ProfessorStacie I feel this way, too! I know many students dread going to school, but I hope for my students to be excited to come to my classroom.
