Eric Bennett began 2024 with a new heart, new kidneys, and a second chance at life with his two young children, thanks to Penn Medicine.

Last August, Eric was admitted to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania while he awaited a heart and kidney transplant. He eventually received the call of a lifetime on Christmas Eve morning. The transplants went smoothly, and with the help of his personalized care team, Eric returned home.

Dr. Ronald Parsons, who joins his patient on-court, is the Surgical Director of Kidney and Pancreas Transplant at Penn Medicine.
