So many outrages we can’t keep up. Will anything, at long last, be too much for the Trumpers? A $400m plane from a foreign govt that Trump gets to keep when he leaves office? Hundreds of millions of TAXPAYER $$ spent upgrading the plane that Trump gets to take with him? That should offend the sensibilities of every American. But Trump has dumbed down our standards so much that there’s only muted protest.
Fondly recalling the media dismissing Biden's five decades of foreign policy experience & then demanding Harris barf out 100 page policy papers while this guy just wings it like a frat boy who skipped an entire semester's worth of lectures and BS'ed his way through the final exam
Iran won this war. By closing the Strait of Hormuz, they forced Trump to capitulate without achieving any of his major war objectives.
I hope future presidents will study the lessons of this defeat. Too many people died, and too much money was spent for nothing.

BREAKING: US officials have now confirmed in a briefing that Iran will get full access to a total of $100 billion in frozen funds and the $300 billion reconstruction fund, both included in the deal with implementation now underway, per WSJ.
More than $150 billion of the fund has already been committed, directly contradicting Trump's claims that the US would not contribute to the $300 billion fund, per Reuters.
So besides crypto and Trump coin, the Saudis sponsored part of the ufc event on the WHITE HOUSE LAWN. The country under actual sharia law. And MAGA is cool with that?
Gotcha
New: Trump’s crypto firm expected to soon get US bank charter
Would allow US firms to settle transactions in Trump’s stablecoin, giving Trump family a cut, without disclosure
No announcement but expectation across Hill & industry is coming within weeks

BREAKINGNEWS: Art of the deal. Iran says Trump agreed to 300 billion to rebuild Iran. 24 billion in frozen assets to be released. Iran claims some of that money has already been handed over. Jesus this is a mess. 🚨
🇺🇸 🇮🇷 If you’re keeping track at home:
- Obama: $1.7B in unfrozen assets/cash for 98% reduction in uranium & limit enrichment to 3.7%
- Trump: $24B in unfrozen assets/cash, $300B reconstruction fund, lifted sanctions in exchange for opened Strait under Iran/Oman control
BREAKING: In a stunning admission on Fox News, Fox News' top Defense Correspondent just admitted that Donald Trump's deal will not end Iran's nuclear ambitions. This is terrible.
CNN's resident fact-checker Daniel Dale hasn't conducted an on-air fact check of Trump in more than three months, a stretch that coincidentally began around the same time Paramount announced its merger with WBD

A nugget buried in the big NYT piece on how the Trump White House had an internal freak-out over the Epstein case....If Bondi didn't use DOJ email, what did she use? I recall a time when the right (and the NYT) went ballistic over a Cabinet official's use of non-gov't email.
Think about all the column inches and headlines devoted to Graham Platner over the past week versus Ken Paxton and then tell me again we have a ‘liberal’ media.
The idea that Spencer Pratt, a Trump-endorsed registered Republican reality show star with no political or managerial experience, had a chance of winning in deep blue Los Angeles was ridiculous.
His ads were clever, and Karen Bass sucks, but Pratt had no chance.
Claiming the primary election was rigged against Pratt is nonsensical. Pratt was Bass's dream opponent! Nithya Raman can actually compete for Democratic voters, something Pratt was ill-positioned to do.
FINAL NOTE: Look at that pie chart and remember that 2024 was a GOOD year for Republicans in Los Angeles. Biden did much better against Trump in 2020 than Harris did in 2024. (I can't find the 2020 Los Angeles City totals, but in Los Angeles County, Biden was 71% to Trump's 27% in 2020 compared to Harris with 65% vs. Trump's 32% in 2024.
And remember that Trump's popularity has been steadily dropping. It's now at 39% according to Nate Silver's polling average. It was 51.6% when he took office in January 2025. Many Latino voters who voted for Trump in 2024 have turned against him. Trump would be lucky to score 20% in Los Angeles today!
