@SecVetAffairs When are we going to open back up the DRP? If it is opened up, will the VA exclude 75% of its workers again? At the least it should be opened to everyone that is minimum retirement age and vested in the retirement system.
@SecVetAffairs@DeptVetAffairs He's telling the truth about 300,000 positions being exempted retirement incentives and lay offs. But a lot of them are non healthcare. All non healthcare positions should be subject to reductions and any savings should go to improve healthcare and benefits for our veterans.
@RepBost Rep. Bost, Veteran Affairs Secretary Collins was sworn in the big VA exempted 3/4 of its employees from President Trump's Deferred Resignation plan. Did you ask if he would review those in non healthcare positions and let them take the DRP? the VA just circumvented the plan.
@MarshaBlackburn Keep up the great work! Can someone ask VA Secretary Collins why the VA exempted almost all it's non-healthcare workers from deferred resignation? It was done before he took office but he should reverse and let them take it. @SecVetAffairs we could easily work with half staff.
@RepDougCollins@RepDougCollins , why is 3/4 of us VA employees exempted from the President's Deferred Resignation Plan? Non-healthcare job fields should be included in the plan. I'm a Police officer and have written 16 reports in last 12 months and that's the most at my station. 100% manning.
@elonmusk@elonmusk@DOGE@RepDougCollins why did the VA exempt 2/3 or more of their positions? Where I work two or three years ago we worked 8 months at 33% manning without any OT and impact on services. We now are 100% or close and have a 1 to 1.4 supervisor to worker ratio.
@PubliusVeritas5@MarioNawfal Well veterans affairs found a way to circumvent the deferred resignation, fork. Today they announced that 146 job series have been exempted and not eligible to thousands of employees @RepDougCollins should reverse this decision. @DOGE needs to look into the VA
@marklevinshow The VA circumvented @realDonaldTrump s buy out today. They put out their list
Of 146 job series for employees representing thousands of employees who can't take the buy out. @RepDougCollins should reverse this.
@cbum_sol@DOGE@DOGECommittee@RepDougCollins VA passed up a good chance to improve the VA. Only people putting in are retirement age or people wanting to leave. @RepDougCollins should still honor the full offer to those who put in as soon as they get replacements in place.
@doge@DOGECommittee the VA wasn't serious about streamlining. just saw the list of job series that are exempt from President's Voluntary Deferred Resignation. Looks like they excluded almost every position in the VA No exaggeration, 146 job series excluded. @RepDougCollins
@brianmuddradio Here's how agencies are circumventing the buy out. Im a police ofc GS7 at Vet Affairs. We have 42 police officers and 30 supervisors. Manned at 100%. They are exempting 6 people who want to take the buy out. 1.4 ofc to 1 supervisor ratio.
@marklevinshow Why would a VA police services with 84 officers ask to exempt 6 or 7 officers on 4 campuses trying to from the fork in the road? They have 42 GS-7 Police Officers and 30 GS-8 to GS-14 supervisor. 1.4 ofc. To sup ratio. Add 10 GS-8 & above speciality people. @DO
@SecVetAffairs good luck Mr. Secretary, Why would a VA police services with 84 officers ask to exempt 6 or 7 officers on 4 campuses trying to from the fork in the road? They have 42 GS-7 Police Officers and 30 GS-8 to GS-14 supervisors. That's 1.4 officer to 1 sup ratio.
@IngrahamAngle Here's how the Presidents deferred resignation plan is being circumvented. Making whole job fields exempt. veterans affairs police where I work, the supervisor to employee ratio is 1 sup to 1.4 officers. 32 supers to 44 officers. We had 6 officers accept the plan not allowed.
@seanhannity@seanhannity A lot of Federal Departments are exempting thousands of employees from taking the buyout. Where I am, we have a 1 to 1 ratio of workers vs supervisors but they are telling us we will be exempt as critical. It's their way to circumvent Trump's plan @v
@elonmusk@DOGE At the department of Veterans Affairs Police two years ago my station worked at a 33% staffing level for 6 to 8 months without any loss of service to veterans or overtime. If we have 70% after deferred resignations why are we exempt with twice as much manning?
@elonmusk@DOGE@elonmusk why are federal agencies trying to circumvent President Trump's Deferred Resignation program? The V.A. is doing it and won't allow people to leave.
They found a loophole and using it against us employees. We need your help.
