@teach_tomorrow. This is our approach at KCS. We are working on this & learning everyday. A system for students to record feedback is an excellent idea. Any suggestions for best practice ?@RickKunc @afanjoy @EverybodySci https://t.co/e7Ru0HaWnK
What needs to linger in your curriculum after this year? A great way to prioritize our planning as we head into hybrid learning with so much uncertainty. #cohort21#kcs@trayc4teach@AmyGreig1@leaperrr
What the world needs more than sympathy and empathy is compassion.
Sympathy: I'm sorry you're in pain
Empathy: I feel your pain
Compassion: I'll do whatever I can to alleviate your pain
You don't have to feel other people's feelings. You just have to care about their feelings.
Couldn’t agree more.
How might we keep schools a place of hope, inspiration and happiness during these next 8 weeks? #cohort21
Reach out to anyone you know (in education and otherwise) to tell them they’ve got this and it’s going to be ok!
❤️❤️
A call (and plea) to parents to do whatever they can to help motivate all teachers to provide that extra effort during the last 8 weeks of school. You can start by showing empathy and demonstrating your intense respect. Parent power can begin by loving teachers.
@tdsb_FernAvePS hoping for a September that focuses on well-being and relationships. Love the imagery of a colander to decipher essential skills and curriculum paired with our focus on relationships.
@Cohort21 A4: I feel calmer. I have had more time to reconnect with myself as I am not racing around all day. Less pressure from the outside world to be a certain way or accomplish a certain something. We don't have many choices now, which in a way brings a more peaceful day. #cohort21
@jennbairos@Cohort21 I agree. I have heard many people say "it is ok, to not be ok". I have also changed the expectations I have for my kids. I can't do all this alone, so buckle up and get the mop! They're very appreciative of that. HA. #cohort21
