When Papa & Sons came out Total Film gave it 1 Star. I was distraught. Complaints made. Editor of Total Film kindly said he'd personally re-review it BUT if he felt it was 1 Star, he'd give it 1 Star. He gave it 3. And that film is still on your TVs at BBC iPlayer 10 years later

The BBC certainly has its problems and challenges and it holds a unique place within this culture that we remove and destroy at our peril. The consequences of removing the funding need to be carefully and wisely considered which likely won’t happen

I have been privileged throughout my life in that I have travelled to many diverse parts of the globe. The one British export that everyone seems to know is the BBC. It therefore seems strange that so many people with the Union Jack in their profile want to get rid of it
