I mean, just an all-time TV segment. Making Chuck do Who He Play For multiple times in a row with the same players is a brilliant idea and I was legit crying laughing by the end, my god.
Third worst loss in Magic history, the other two were in the finals. A disaster that is stunning to anyone who didn't watch this team in the regular season. If you did watch them in the regular season, you knew they were capable of any type of embarrassment. They always are.
I can't get over how the Magic looked DEAD like 10 days ago. They gave up career highs to Luka Garza, Ron Harper Jr., and Baylor Scheierman in a game they had to win. Then got embarrassed in the first play-in game.
...and they've been awesome ever since. It makes no sense. This is the Magic people thought might contend for the 1-seed before the season began. Out of nowhere. Never seen a turnaround like this ever before.
Four years since one of the great unexpected joys of my life. Bringing this back for the franchise is the most important thing, and I’m trying to be modest here, anyone has ever done.
Entering today…
Only 12 hitters had ever hit 3 homers in a postseason game.
Only 26 pitchers had ever recorded 10+ strikeouts, 2 or less hits and no runs in a postseason start.
Shohei Ohtani just did both in the same game.
Jase Richardson x Orlando Magic = DREAM FIT
This is perfect for both sides. All his size concerns mitigated by this massive, lengthy Magic roster. Adds elite shooting and connective playmaking. Jase would've been top 10 on my Magic big board.
Many more shooters for the Magic to target in the second round too.
