La ironía es que quien antes criticaba los acuerdos débiles con Irán, hoy parece dispuesto a hacer casi cualquier cosa para lograr su propio acuerdo. No importa si esto proviene de consideraciones políticas, legado personal o el deseo de presentar un logro histórico: al final, la prueba es el resultado. Y si el camino hacia el acuerdo pasa por limitar a Israel y otorgar un respiro a Irán, entonces hay un problema muy grave aquí.
Israel no puede permitirse basar su seguridad en esperanzas, promesas o firmas en papel. En Oriente Medio se sobrevive gracias al poder, la disuasión y la determinación, no a los deseos del corazón."

Numerous media reports focused on his role as an athlete at the time. According to newly released details, Abu al-Atta was also a member of PIJ's Gaza Brigade and was involved in the organization's missile operations.
