@Erdayastronaut@OJohnnyFonseca@BlakeDisciple Do it! The avionics in relation to the cold gas thrusters is something that the average person might not have considered.
It’s extremely complex to coordinate the yaw and pitch to control a relatively stationary vehicle in Earths atmosphere.
(Relative to orbital vehicles)
@farzyness I can hear the SI in your voice. Some things scale, your approach to content creation is becoming hollow and soulless. Don’t do this to your community that made you who you are, don’t sell out! If if make less because you can only do so much, then so be it, at least it’s genuine.
@wholemars Has to mention in his bio that he’s a “winner”…
I guess jealousy and envy interfere with being able to enjoy the achievements of other actual winners
@wholemars I think it’s the realization that there are very few competent AV software/hardware offerings. Merc would never be caught kneeling to Tesla for an FSD license, and so there really is only one other option.
Mercedes is finally seeing their impending demise, AV or bust
@garyblack00 The pre-market pop was investors, not open market average joes, but accredited/institutional investors. Thus there is no indifference, actually the contrary. The backbone investors showed up to make it known they support this as they knew the open market macro would fade today.
@PistonHeads I knew they kiboshed the ICE cayman and are going fully electric, but never did I dream they would elevate the Cayman (internal combustion variant) above the 911. I jest, but it always had the lights, the silhouette and the mid engine layout of the 918 and Carrera GT, so similar!
@CARandDRIVER Finally the Cayman platform has solidified its position above the 911. The lights the silhouette the engine in the right place (mid-ship) all point at the true racing history of Porche, and with the Cayman going fully electric at least it’s ICE variant lives on in the Mission S
@OverlyTrev Yeah, with the Roadster reveal postponed multiple times can’t really blame Porche. I was hoping they’d do a live stream like Tesla’s event later tonight, but it’s just an online brochure :(
Stoked for the Roadster now tho, it will be far more exciting than the Mission S!
@pdicarlotrader Don’t you take macro into consideration when making these technical assessments. On its own, in isolation when the market is moving normally, yes it would signal something. But right now with the market reacting to broad external forces?
@garyblack00 We live in the biggest tool revolution in the total history of mankind, and these gamblers are afraid of less than stellar revenue.
Now it’s all about oral-b toothpaste and dentures.
We are building the tool to end reliance on all tools and people are jumping ship?
@chamath Similar to Tesla Dojo, its promise was huge yet fell so short that Tesla is still utterly dependent on Nvidia. That will slowly shift with the AI4/5/6 chipsets, but this announcement is nothing more than that.
Even Tesla realized it would take a Terrafab to compete with Nvidia
@PistonHeads The 911, yeah it’s a 911, has all the 911veny bits, but man, the cayman just looks way more racey to my eyes.
Wish they would give it more of the integrated aero of the 911, but I guess they’re built for different team budgets.
@manthey_racing Ha! Glad I was right, I could see the slight line of the intake cowel, thanks for keeping the Cayman at the forefront! Hopefully Porsche will keep a line in the ledger for high end versions of this plate form. Dare I say above the 911 ;)
