๐ 1,132 USERS โ THANK YOU!
Today we reached 1,132 registered users on MADAI LABS!
Even more incredible:
675 MADAI Kit uploads have already been submitted by the community.
What started as a small genetics project has grown into a platform where thousands of analyses are performed, samples are shared, and people from all backgrounds can explore population genetics, ancient DNA, and family history together.
A huge thank you to everyone who:
โข Uploaded their DNA
โข Tested our tools
โข Reported bugs
โข Shared feedback
โข Created models and research
โข Supported the project
MADAI LABS would not exist without you.
We still have a lot planned:
More tools
More datasets
Better modeling
Larger sample collections
Thank you for being part of this journey.

This model was generated using ADMIXTOOLS (qpAdm), a statistical framework used to test and model ancestry proportions between ancient and modern populations.
The result suggests a nearly balanced ancestry profile between an Anatolian Byzantine-related source and a medieval Karakhanid Turkic source.

@Pashtun_NoCares@Avni1040070 The snps get trimmed in the merging process. If i merge myself with 2M dataset my commercial kit snps will get trimmed based on the 2M snp panel. I dont get what you mean

๐ PERSONAL DATASET RELEASED ON MADAI LABS ๐งฌ
For everyone who enjoys ancestry modeling, I've decided to make my own family dataset publicly available on MADAI LABS.
๐ I am MADAI0001
You can find my ethnic background and sample information in the Sample Dashboard.
Dataset details:
โข MADAI0001 (my sample) โ ~468,000 SNPs
โข Remaining samples โ ~200,000 SNPs each
โข Includes my father, grandfather, uncles, and other close relatives
This gives you a unique opportunity to model a real extended family dataset and compare different generations against ancient and modern populations.
Feel free to:
โ Run qpAdm models
โ Test F-statistics
โ Compare different references
Small modeling tip:
I've noticed that Georgia_Kotias_Mesolithic.SG behaves somewhat strangely in my models.
For me, Georgia_Satsurblia_LateUP.SG often performs better as a CHG-related source.
Try both and compare the results for yourself.
If you make any posts, threads, qpAdm models, or interesting discoveries using the dataset, tag me โ I'd love to see what people come up with.
Have fun modeling!

Thats true. If you want to check actually ancestry you will have to do it via F-Stats. Even on f-stats tho they will be closer than us. We already checked that with dinkhatepe1 and 2 and even hasanlu. Only 5-6 samples cluster with us and the only reason is because they have som tepe hissar like influence. If they wouldnt have this we wouldnt be close to those 5-6 samples
@aldersimi Neither. Its just the admix of high proto armenian with native Mesopotamian which is the reason assyrians and armenians cluster closer. Native mesopotamians didnt survive that long and got replaced by proto Armenian individuals in LBA
BIG UPDATE: Kinship & ROH Profiler is now live on MADAI LABS!
Ever wondered how closely related your parents were?
Our new Kinship & ROH Profiler analyzes your autosomal DNA and provides:
โ FROH (Runs of Homozygosity) score
โ Estimated parental relationship (1stโ5th cousin range)
โ Visual cousin-degree scale
โ Breakdown of homozygous segments by length
โ Detection of recent shared ancestry vs. deeper isolation
โ Insights into endogamy, founder effects, and consanguinity
You can analyze:
โข Your existing MADAI KIT
โข A raw DNA file from 23andMe, AncestryDNA, or MyHeritage
This adds another powerful population genetics tool to the MADAI LABS ecosystem โ completely FREE.

Y-Full finally split up my subclade. FTA62902 now has 2 daughter lines. FTA62902* and FTG40986 (Y79641). I will test more and more people around my region to look from whom we got FTA62902. Or maybe we can find a clade between Y93512 and FTA62902. Lets see
@kvali_app There is one akbari sample which is scytho-sarmatian related. Most samples tho are tocharian. There is also one tajik with my forfather clade on familytreedna. The clade is most likely eastern iranian or turkic related
