@jrzychick@SenSchumer Well, exactly. It was selfish.
Then he slept through it and cost local businesses potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars in the process.
The people who have it the worst from Trump’s appearance at MSG tonight are the local workers, restaurants, bars, and other businesses. Tonight was going to be their best day of business possibly ever. Trump robbed them of that entirely. Very unfortunate, yet very on brand.
The American Museum of Natural History lit up its Planetarium Sphere orange and blue last night in honor of the New York Knicks.
The sphere will be lit orange and blue every evening through the end of the NBA Finals.

food and drinks consumed in a movie theater doesn’t really go into your body. it goes into your movie theater body which is separate & holy and harm-proof
🚨 HOLY SHIT.
CNN just cited a New York Times estimate saying Trump has reportedly profited $1.4 BILLION from the presidency.
And the wildest part?
One panelist said Trump made MORE MONEY in the last year than in the rest of his life combined.
Think about that.
We received hundreds of submissions to our 2-K jingle competition, @Lin_Manuel and @iamcardib helped us choose the top 5, and now it's time for New York to vote on a winner. Head to https://t.co/NjuhJ87aZl to pick your favorite, voting is open from now until 10pm on 6/3!
This morning we are introducing COGE — the Commission on Government Efficiency. This Commission will find ways for our city to work smarter, faster, and more effectively for working people. New Yorkers deserve a city government as careful with their money as they are.
Let me trace the timeline here because nobody's connecting it.
Step 1: Scrape the entire internet. Every book, every article, every conversation, every piece of art, every forum post. Do it without asking. Do it without paying.
Step 2: Train a model on all of it. Call it "artificial intelligence."
Step 3: Go to BlackRock's Infrastructure Summit and announce: "We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter."
Step 3 is where you sell people's own knowledge back to them. On a meter.
They took the collective output of human thought, compressed it into a model, and now they want to charge you by the token to access a version of what you and everyone you know already created.
One Reddit user put it perfectly: "They stole all this data from us, the people, our life's work, creativity, art, by devouring the internet and blowing through all copyright laws. Now they want to sell it back to us in the form of a utility."
Imagine if someone photocopied every book in the public library, burned the library down, and then opened a subscription service for the copies.
That's the metered intelligence business model.
And they're pitching it to infrastructure investors as though they invented water.
walking from penn station to union square and it is straight up sesame street vibes in manhattan this morning. everyone is cheerful as hell. just watched two strangers high five from their respective citibikes at a stoplight because they were both wearing knicks jerseys
You can’t convince me that Timothee Chalamet didn’t make a deal with the Bene Gesserit to trade what would have been his first Oscar win in exchange for a victorious Knicks season…
That’s my Lisan al-Gaib fr fr
