I was stuck in a rut with #gamedev late last year, so I decided to recreate #games that inspired me to get into this.
I've been working on a game directly inspired by Samurai Gunn. I'm proud of this blood effect that I made this past week.
@Zaudunyani1 @Banan0u @edmundmcmillen I really don't understand your point. It seems to me that you're really concerned with being right and not just admitting you had a bad take. Scripting games with your indie gamedev friend is not remotely on the same scale as releasing a product for sale.

There's no algorithm for fun. Especially when you're continuing on a series your fans are familiar with. You don't just add more of the same. It has to be different enough to be interesting, but not so different that it's alienating.
@Zaudunyani1 @Banan0u @edmundmcmillen If you think adding more to an existing game is a small task then you have no idea what it takes to make games.
If other games want to release free DLC, that's their business. Just as it's Edmund's business to charge for this.
