After almost seven years at this club, it’s hard to put into words what this moment means to me.
I arrived at this club when I was 18 years old. Far from home, barely speaking the language, trying to adapt to a completely new culture, new life and chasing a dream that felt so big at the time.
I didn’t know exactly what the future would hold, but I knew I wanted to give everything for this club.
We didn’t just build a team, we built a family, an identity, and something the fans could believe in again. To see this club back where it belongs is one of the proudest moments of my career.
I want to thank my family, thank everyone at the club, the staff, my teammates, and every person working behind the scenes. Most importantly, thank you to the fans. Your support, patience and love throughout these years never went unnoticed. You stayed with us through the difficult moments, and this title belongs to you as much as anyone.
This club changed my life. I will always be grateful for the privilege of wearing this shirt.
PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS 🏆
@emilykmay I coached soccer from ages 5-12. The parents were way more invested than the kids. My favorite was a parent arguing the off side rule while I was like, they are 8, give it a break
@emilykmay Im wondering - what if we stopped looking at parenthood as a social experiment. Parented freely with empathy, love and logic. Used experts as assistance rather than a binding agreement. I understand that not everyone has perfect instincts. But it feels completely overcomplicated.
@rubytubee@WalshFreedom Do you hear the ice officer when he gets in her car? He yells, go, get out of the way. Because, the car was blocked. She couldn't move, couldn't comply. They dragged her out and assaulted her because they claim she is blocking the street.
@sivori You can be tired. You can feel overwhelmed. You can feel over stimulated. All very normal reactions to parenthood.
Most will feel a connection to their child/children that is seperate to all the above feelings. Not this man.
@SouthDallasFood I spent years dragging a live tree in and out. This artificial tree just fits, and makes life sooo much easier. It isn't fancy, but I love it!
@offbeatorbit I parented alone. My kids either had to come with me for every single errand, event, whatever. OR, stay home and respect the rules. They frequently chose the latter. As long as expectations are clear, and the child is able to understand them, staying home should be an option.
@flameosumeet Look at the costs. My son went to a champions league game in Lisbon. Ticket was $50. The stadium was full of actual football fans.
These ticket costs price the average fan out.
@AdamCrafton_ This is the world cup. As well as us fans, the expectation is that there will be many international travelers.
My son attended a Champions League game in Lisbon yesterday. Ticket was $50. A bottle of water was €1.50. Food was €4 -€5. Stadium was full.
