Herfurth PTA was selected as one of the ten schools nationwide to pilot the National PTA's Spring 2024 Fire Safety Program! It was a successful event this past weekend. Parents and students learned about the main causes of fires, the importance of preparation, and how to prevent fires at home. Their partners and sponsors were Kidde and their Cause for Alarm™, Rowlett Fire Department, Nothing Bundt Cakes Rowlett, Credit Union of Texas, The Rowlett Citizen Corps Council, Rowlett Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), Rowlett Fire Corps, Explorer Post One, The (EMT) Program and the Firefighter Program at the GRCT, Rowlett Public Library, Alert-All, Rockwall Fire Protection, Rowlett Police Department, Rowlett Emergency Medical Services, and Bounce n More.

STAAR review is in session! Students partnered up to review each others ECR response. They were looking to see if their partner had the components to a good ECR!

Last week, @Herfurth_Bronco Elementary School celebrated their recognition as a National Blue Ribbon School! The students had a blast and presented pins to their teachers and administrators. Herfurth is the first school in Rowlett's history to receive this honor. A special thanks to Mayor Blake Margolis, the Rowlett City Council, and other @RowlettTexas officials for joining us in this celebration.
