@WonderWomaNinja Guess I’ve always interpreted the lyrics of this song corporately as singing over others as a blessing. The song comes from a passage where the Lord is directing Moses on how to bless the Israelites. But I get your frustration. Many singing it aren’t doing it with that context.
@dwilsontexas@StudentsforLife Yes especially since abortion would have given the baby the same fate that the poster is trying to use as rhetoric - death.
@_6signxxx You act as though this is an atrocity now - but not 4 months ago when the baby would have been in the clinic dumpster. Ironically, this child is still alive and this video validate the value we place on life. Why is that value compromised for politics?
@Gecko1114@wendelltalks The diff is the metaphysical starting point. Supernatural events like those mentioned in the Bible r completely compatible w/ a supernaturalist view. But evolution doesn’t even align w/ the evidence IN naturalism. If it did, it would by proxy be true for supernaturalists also.
@BrandonMarlett I enjoy you. You DO sound a little dickish sometimes, but I'm sure there's a word for the way I sound too. LOL. :) After all, we're attempting to talk vehemently opposing worldviews on Twitter. Not a recipe for disaster at all...
@BrandonMarlett Religion started long before the Christian religion. So all those people with imaginations and feelings were dumber than atheists today? I would venture to say logic and the pursuit of reality has existed for a very long time.
@BrandonMarlett But who's to say/prove that u aren't insisting on a non-god concept? There r people that earnestly believe reality starts with a god. How does one prove otherwise to them? Ur starting from the position that ur right, but that doesn't make it true. &I can't prove any more than u.
@BrandonMarlett@AMilitantAgnost Okay, maybe. Reverence or fear (like in as the need to appease). Do you understand reverence of a god as a similar thing to appeasement?
@BrandonMarlett No, I'm just going w/ the historical definitions. If we're talking about definitions of the words as u define them, then we won't understand each other w/o intentional clarification. Saying I'm twisting words for my gain is false. I'm just honestly speaking what i understand.
@BrandonMarlett Led by trying to narrow down the nature of this possible god. That's what we do as people. We look to the people who've gone before us. I think the natural response as humans involves both feelings and logic. You have feelings that keep you focused on atheism. Those are legit.
@BrandonMarlett True. I guess -ism is more of the "state of." Isn't it possible to study the existence of god without a proposed god though? Otherwise, how did religions even start?
