A reverse logo isn't always just the primary logo changed to white. White forms on dark backgrounds can appear heavier or thicker: irradiation effect.
A slight inward offset compensates for that, creating an optically corrected reverse version that better matches the original.

This logo suite was so much fun (and made us hungry for some reason).
The suite is basically a collection of different versions of the logo that can be used in a variety of contexts.
Definitely a nice addition to the toolbox.
