@damien_page We think it is critical . We mix it up . A few formal panels then a couple of free form panels (often based around an object the candidate brings in). We’ve learnt that skills are important but the right person is critical and paramount.

A good teacher will do this as appropriate, taking each incident in context. Past, present&future minded.

A bad teacher will target every incident with school policy regardless of context.

It starts with adults all being on song .. and yes Tom your original DFE document on culture is a must read - We simply built our culture around initial actions being restorative.
