Note - Vangeesa has a clear history & pattern of harassing women in virtual platforms & in public spaces. He was publicly exposed by multiple survirors including University students with evidence & their encounters. Formal complaints also made against him with authorities.

7/7 Since the article was published, online discussions have triggered further harassment and intimidation of survivors. A public acknowledgment of harm and a formal apology from the newspaper and the responsible editor is the minimum ethical step forward.

6/7 The Muse supplement is not a private platform of an individual journalist. It is part of the state-owned newspaper Sunday Observer. Editorial decisions must therefore meet public accountability and professional media ethics, not personal bias.

4/7 When questioned, the explanation given was that it was difficult to find women to interview and the deadline was tight. That cannot justify giving space to someone whose conduct has already been publicly challenged by survivors. This questions her editorial judgment.

3/7 Journalism has a basic ethical principle: credibility and integrity of sources matter. Providing a platform to an individual publicly accused by multiple survivors in a feature dedicated to International Women’s Day is not just ironic & it risks retraumatizing survivors.

2/7 The situation is even more troubling because the journalist herself publicly acknowledged that she had experienced sexual harassment from the same individual through private messages and was aware of complaints against him.
Yet she still chose to interview and platform him.

1/7 Survivors raised concerns on social media about legitimizing a known predator in a Women’s Day feature. Instead of engaging responsibly, the Deputy Editor responded by bullying, revictimising & dismissing survivors, calling them names and undermining their lived experiences.

@anuradisanayake should make a public apology from the citizens of North and East fr supporting atrocities of a previous government by backing a war as I believe a true socialist party can't do such a thing. If he genuinely apologises there it begins attempts for reconciliation.

Finally Peterson is going to learn a lesson. If you watched his recent interview with Musk it is very clear that Peterson is struggling with his own issues and misguides the masculinity due to what he is going through. Musk's toxicity and mysigony is a different topic !

🚨 CANADA SUPREME COURT SILENCES JORDAN PETERSON

The Supreme Court of Canada has dismissed Dr. Jordan Peterson’s appeal against the Ontario College of Psychologists’ mandate to undergo social media re-education.

The order was initially made due to Peterson’s online posts, deemed "degrading and unprofessional, posing a risk to the public."

"Primarily for publicly opposing the butchers and liars subjecting children to sterilization and mutilation."

The Court’s decision concludes his legal avenues in Canada and requires him to pay the College’s court costs.

Peterson must now decide whether to comply with the re-education program.
