whenever i visit paris I have whatever the opposite of Paris syndrome is. it was shocking to me that such a place could exist and not be the most important city in the world and not incessantly talked about
The short answer is because our culture has demonized the act of disliking stuff unless we can prove its moral impurity and critics get death threats for not sufficiently fangirling
I love this EP, but I also think it’s really cool that Keane started sounding better and had their breakthrough when they figured out their own sound rather than trying to emulate other popular bands of the time i.e. Radiohead
