If @realDonaldTrump were to lose (he won’t) his supporters will go to work tomorrow just as we do everyday. When Biden loses, his “supporters” will likely loot and riot. Tells you everything you need to know! #Trump2020
Let me be very clear: the scenes of chaos at the Capitol do not represent who we are. What we are seeing is a small number of extremists dedicated to lawlessness. This is not dissent, it's disorder. It borders on sedition, and it must end. Now.
Words have consequences, especially the words of a president and his allies. Today those consequences include violent rioters attacking our Capitol to overthrow the American democratic process. This must end, and democracy must prevail.
The election was not close. There was no evidence of fraud. The states have certified the results.
Yet Trump continues to try to overturn the election at the expense of our democracy.
The emperor has no clothes.
Republican electeds who continue to humor him have no spines.
Biden won, but please don’t use this as a way to suddenly drop all the work you’ve been doing. Black lives still matter. Indigenous people still need their land back. LGBTQ people still need tons of help as well. This isn’t over.
Donald Trump’s attempts to stop votes from being counted are the actions of a desperate man trying to cling to power just a little longer.
It's undemocratic. It's pathetic.
And it won't work.
The rushed and unprecedented confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett as Associate Justice to the Supreme Court, in the middle of an ongoing election, should be a stark reminder to every American that your vote matters. https://t.co/NwEi4jyMd1
.@KamalaHarris is showing the American people why I chose her as my running mate. She’s smart, she’s experienced, she’s a proven fighter for the middle class. She’ll be an incredible Vice President.
Finally we come to the core of all this: "This isn't about his family or my family. It's about your family.”
Those are the stakes, and this is our chance.
