It’s always been shocking to me that the Liberal government would rather pay other countries for their oil instead of using Canadian oil - oil that employs Canadian worker and boosts the Canadian economy.

Team Canada, eh!?

Had a five-minute conversation this week with the Liberal Environment Minister. A few observations:

1. Liberal Ministers appear not to be allowed to use the words "oil" or "gas" in the House of Commons.

2. Even the Minister was caught off guard by the conflicting statements on oil and gas pipelines made by her own Liberal Prime Minister.

3. The Minister seems unbothered by the fact that oil imported into Eastern Canada from countries like Nigeria and Saudi Arabia ($4.6B in 2023) is treated favourably compared to oil coming from Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
