#NetNeutrality is a super interesting topic and something that a lot of people are passionate about. This image does a good job of illustrating one of the points of view that many people have. Big corporations end up with all the power, instead or equal distribution.

I really liked this meme and I found it super funny. Although #NetNeutrality would be hard to do because nothing is ever equal, I think it would just cost too much money. What are your thoughts?

@MarissaWheelwr3 If everyone could balance how they use social media, it would be so much different and then it would be the least of our worries. But the problem is, is that it’s difficult to learn how to find the balance and use it.

@KatyStrikwerda I’m a nanny so I see it so much. There’s times where the kids are trying to get the parents attention and then they come to me and I help with whatever they need because their parents faces are so deep into their phones they don’t acknowledge that their child is calling for them.

@xocourtneeyjade I agree 100% it’s all based on how we use it. But even in the last couple years it’s all become a competition and “who can wear it better” type of game.

@coltyn_j What makes you think that there is more good than bad? I’m just curious. Cuz I can see it both ways, but when I am around my friends I feel like it’s always the judgment zone and it ruins their self esteem.

@kylie_rowley There have been so many times where I have judged by what I see. Like “ Oh I wish I had that, or I wish I was doing that”. Social media definitely does bring a negative side when we least expect it. It creates a terrible norm.

@laurenyorkk2 Thank goodness for people like you on social media! There’s no reason to only give people what they want to see. I feel like people only post the good in their lives and then it gives everyone false hope for their own.

I believe that there are pros and cons to social media use. There are a lot of positive things that can come from it like maintaining friendships. It can also become a huge distraction though, so I think there need to be some sort of personal boundaries set. #COMM3120
