Madison Beer responds to jokes claiming there’s “no reason” for fans to be passing out at her concerts:
“I’ve also seen comments saying, ‘What are y’all passing out at a Madison Beer show for?’ See, I know it’s funny, but body heat doesn’t care who the performer is. I know the majority of people act like I’m a joke of an artist and that no one knows who I am, but when there are 15,000 people in the crowd, body heat is body heat. Not eating or not drinking can lead to that, too. I’m gonna say it again: if you’re coming to a concert, please take care of yourself. I want you to enjoy it.”
Madison Beer reveals she dyed her hair a few shades darker again:
“My hair got really blonde & washed out from styling it constantly so i got a little color put on it”.
Madison Beer shuts down accusations claiming she stops her shows for attention or PR:
“I’ve seen people try to say it’s either for attention or PR. Obviously, that’s all nonsense. I just want to ask: do you truly believe that? When I’m putting on a show, do you really think I want the takeaway to be me getting angry at security guards? Before we say that, do you actually believe it? Because I’m concerned.I’m putting on a show for almost two hours, and you think I want that to be the takeaway? I obviously don’t want to yell at them either and interrupt a song that fans paid to watch me sing.”
Madison Beer explains why she stopped her show and confronted security after fans in the crowd needed medical attention:
“There were 50 people waving their flashlights, and I kept singing, thinking security would see it and handle it. 10 seconds later, I look over to my right and see him just staring at me. I’m snapping and pointing toward the crowd where someone fainted, and he doesn’t even turn around. I’m looking at him, asking what he’s doing. I know I got frustrated, but guys, I’m watching a group of people who need medical help not get any attention. What am I supposed to do? Just keep going? Let me make this clear: there have been venues that have been amazing on this tour,& I didn’t say a word.”
Madison Beer addresses the hate for alerting security to fans that passed out at her Manchester show at the locket tour:
“I was watching a security guard with my own two eyes do absolutely nothing (he could fully see them) […] i always try to give the security a second to get there and sometimes they do but when i can see 0 movement or reaction from them, I am going to call it out.
And the notion that "i have a better view" isn't really an excuse in my opinion because then the venues should be stationing their security team in spots they have visibility to keep people safe! Safety is very important to me and i want those attending my shows taken care of, sorry!”
@kathyyestefanyy there’s a record breaking temp heatwave in the uk, the arenas have no ac + being trapped in the ga pits mushed in w thousands of people :(
me and my friends almost passed out after standing for hours since we didn’t eat from waiting in the queues earlier 😭
Madison Beer on choosing the surprise songs for tour, explaining why ‘Ryder’ was forced down our throats at Manchester’s Q&A:
“I just went through and was like, what are the nine songs that feel like they should be surprise songs? I personally think that I picked good surprise songs. [...] Melodies? It's not happening. It's not happening.”
Madison Beer reveals being with Justin Herbert during tour helped overcome her fear of flying:
“His team flies so much, and he's never scared. But I'm like, if you're like fine, then maybe it's fine. And I feel like I just trust him […] I'm like he's fine, so I'm like, it must be fine. And he flies all the time, like when they're in season, like every single week, and I could never. So it makes me feel better that he's taken so many flights and they've all been okay, so I'm like, it's fine. That's how my brain thinks about it”
Madison Beer talks about the AI song ‘Velvet Shadows’ someone uploaded to her Spotify and the dangers of AI overall:
“That was insane. I was like, Spotify, how is it that easy to upload something under somebody? Are you kidding me? Like, I’m an established artist, and people can just upload fucking AI songs under my Spotify? This AI shit is out of control. Sometimes I see a video on my FYP or hear a song and think it’s good, and then I’m shocked when I find out it’s not real. It’s just scary that we can’t differentiate it.”
