Imagine that…
A religious institution that isn’t pillaged by fraud.
A sect of people devoted to paying God and not church employees.
You want a real story!?!
Look how much it gives to charity annually while still being responsible.
Hell…
If the Government ran like our church, we’d pay 10% tax and thrive.
I’m shocked by people’s shock of an honest tithe and honest tithe takers.
This is an example where you can't trust every single study that comes across social media.
The study is observational, so it can't prove cause and effect.
It also relies on self-reporting of sleep activity.
People who deprive themselves of sleep also tend to do more unhealthy things like smoking, drink, and eating unhealthy while living lives of high stress.
Decades of evidence show that exercise and regular movement are best for health.
I would take this study with a baseball sized grain of salt.
The Ninja Creami Wendy's Frosty Recipe:
1. Put one bottle of protein drink (any flavor) into the cup. Use 3/4's of the bottle.
2. Put in a half tablespoon of sugar-free Jell-O pudding.
3. If you like sweet stuff, add a teaspoon of allulose.
Once frozen, run it under light ice cream function.
Then add the 1/4 bottle of the protein and then re-spin. This makes it taste like a Wendy's frosty.
Add in mix-ins of your choice.
Enjoy.
🚨 Here is the full 42 minutes of my crew and I exposing Minnesota fraud, this might be my most important work yet. We uncovered over $110,000,000 in ONE day. Like it and share it around like wildfire! Its time to hold these corrupt politicians and fraudsters accountable
We ALL work way too hard and pay too much in taxes for this to be happening, the fraud must be stopped.
I can’t help but notice exactly 1 week after 100 million people tuned in to the Charlie Kirk memorial that reinvigorated a Christian revival in America, the forces of evil have attacked a church the very next Sunday
They don’t want people returning to God
Do it anyway
Since the Taliban took over Afghanistan in 2021, females aren’t allowed to be educated past age 12.
They can’t be seen in public without full body coverage. They can’t travel more than 45 miles from home without a male chaperone. They can’t work in sectors outside health or education.
After age 8, they can’t be in direct contact with a male who’s not a blood relative. They can’t speak loudly in public since no one should be forced to hear a woman’s voice. They can’t wear heels, lest the sound of a woman’s footsteps inadvertently entice a man.
All establishments with any reference to the word “woman” have been renamed. Street level windows must be painted over so that women in the home are not visible to men on the street.
There’s a ban on women's presence on radio, television or at public gatherings of any kind.
But sure, Ellen, we can pretend like wearing a dress in a movie that catapulted you to fame and fortune is what’s oppressive. 🤦🏻♀️
Brothers and sisters, I feel truly humbled to be celebrating my 101st birthday with my children so close—whether in person or forever in my heart.
Even though those pictured are all adults with children, grandchildren, and even a great grandchild of their own, I still feel the tenderness I felt for them when they were small enough to rock in my arms.
From then to now, I’ve done my best to teach them the gospel of Jesus Christ. The glad tidings I have taught them are the same lessons I have often shared with you.
God is our Father. We are His children. Jesus Christ is the Son of God. This is His Church, which is reflected in the name He gave it. It is only through Jesus Christ’s Atonement that we can repent of our sins and return to God’s presence.
We will find joy in life as we “think celestial” and follow the covenant path that begins with baptism and leads us to The House of The Lord. God speaks to us when we make the effort to hear Him. The world needs peacemakers, so please be kind.
Thank you for your faithfulness. Thank you for expressing gratitude. Thank you for your prayers. You inspire me to strive to become a better disciple of Jesus Christ.
Do Apostles "look twice?" Do they even look once?
My friend @Brad_McB_TWS was on a beach vacation with his family when he saw a familiar face. A member of the Quorum of the Twelve sat on the porch of a neighboring beach house. This Apostle taught him a powerful lesson without saying a word:
"One evening, as I was heading in from the beach, Elder _____ was sitting alone on the patio, watching the waves and the setting sun. Just then, a group of young women, likely college-aged, attractive and wearing very skimpy bikinis, gathered on the beach in front of the house next door.
"A curious thought came to mind: 'These girls are standing here, mostly naked, fifteen feet in front of me. That means they are standing twenty feet in front of an Apostle...'
"As subtly as I could, I glanced over to see his reaction to the girls. He was gone. In the brief moment it took for me to notice the girls and resume walking, Elder _____ had moved from his chair into his beach house and closed the curtains..."
"Elder _____ has no idea that he taught me a lesson that day on the beach. This raises a sobering question: Who was watching me on the beach that day, and what did they learn about me?"
I've heard local leaders tell their young men, "If you don't look once, you're not a man. But if you look twice, you won't be a missionary." To which I've heard missionaries and young men respond, "Then I better make that first look a good, long one!"
Brethren, that attitude is far too common among us. Far too many in our ranks try to justify a lingering gaze (or sometimes even p--n use!) with pathetic excuses like "I can't help but admire God's beautiful creations" or "These are natural, healthy drives given me by God." They echo Judge Frollo-- the villain from The Hunchback of Notre Dame:
"It's not my fault, I'm not to blame.
It is the gypsy girl, the witch who sent this flame!
It's not my fault if in God's plan
He made the devil so much stronger than a man!"
This whole conversation the past few months about modesty and swimsuits has been disheartening. Brethren, we live beneath our privileges when we deny our God-given gift of agency and make ourselves "objects to be acted upon" by insisting God "made us this way." You're right, "looking" is natural. But last I checked, God asked us to put off the natural man.
Yes, women have a responsibility to us, to themselves, and to God to dress and carry themselves in a way that honors their divine heritage as daughters of God. But the excuse-making from bearers of God's holy priesthood around this issue and blaming society's failing for their own person immorality is sickening.
Don't look twice. Don't even choose to look once.
The average American gets 3000 to 4000 steps a day.
This pales in comparison to our hunter gatherer ancestors who got 16,000 to 17,000 steps.
This image shows 2 brain scans that represent a students neural activity during a test following sitting and walking for 20 minutes.
The color blue represents lower neural activity, while the color red shows higher brain activity in a given region.
This shows that exercise has a massive impact not only on your physical health but your mental health.
Here are 5 reasons why:
1) It increases serotonin, norepinephrine & dopamine, which manage your thoughts & emotions.
2) It releases endorphins into your body that block out pain and make you feel good.
3) It promotes neuroplasticity, which enhances your brains ability to learn skills and change.
4) It increases oxygen supply to your brain that can help with memory, flexible thinking and self control.
5) It helps you manage stress & increase energy, which will help you become better at every aspect of life.
If exercise came in pill form, it would be plastered across the front page, hailed as the blockbuster drug of the century.
Do you need to hit a gym to get the benefits? It helps but no.
You can find ways to get more movement throughout your day.
It could be taking the stairs instead of using the elevator.
Or parking a bit farther from your spot. You could even do walking meetings.
You can do micro workouts like doing 10 pushups each time you use a door or squats before you sit.
There are many ways to get more exercise throughout your day that the only thing you have to get over is yourself.
Do not sleep on what a few more steps or a bout of intense exercise will do to your brain and body.
It is the #1 metahabit in the world for a reason. Use it to your advantage.
Ps. Credit to @SahilBloom for being the first one to bring this brain scan to my attention.
