Coach the person! The best part of working with kids is forming relationships. Learn about the kids you work with & coach them as people first. Show them you care. Build trust & respect. Then use the game to teach them that the ups & downs of life are a lot more than any sport!
Upperclassman-Your job is to be a leader! Help the younger guys! Your role is NOT, I repeat NOT to be the cool guy that makes the underclassman's lives miserable. Represent yourself, your parents, your coaches, and your program the RIGHT WAY!
