Glow in the dark sight word fun! First grade families joined us to learn about reading strategies to use at home with their child. We wrapped up the afternoon with sight word hopscotch!

I’ve had fun in @Disney World this week with @madswall1st class! First we took a virtual tour, rode Slinky Dog Dash, and made Mickey ears and magic bands then we started building rides we would like to go on using our @LEGO_Education kits. The kids are so excited! @SullyES_LCPS

1st Grade finished up a solar oven project! To apply their sun knowledge, students had to chose the two materials to use in the pizza box. I was so proud of their perseverance and success! Also shoutout to @dominos, Joe’s Pizzeria, and @FWPizzaCascades for box donations! #STEMLab

This is KINDNESS. One of our sweet students brings in drawings with student numbers on to pass out each morning. It’s always a great start to our day! 💜 I love how big their hearts are!!

What is a good way to spread a little joy and kindness? This @SullyES_LCPS student comes multiple days a week with a handful of pictures that she has drawn and gives one to every adult she sees in the hallway. It brightens my day every time. #itsagreatdaytobeahornet

Today we learned different characteristics that make a good citizen! In this fun activity we got to focus on teamwork & sportsmanship to build the tallest tower. We have a classroom full of good citizens!!

Bee Bots are FUN! We have been integrating our bee bots in our coin unit. Students match the cent cards to the coin collection and have to program their bot to the answer. #SullyElementary
