I started my career as a public school teacher on the westside of San Antonio.
Now I’m back as a candidate for the U.S. Senate.
This city taught me how to fight for working families — and I’m ready to take that fight to our nation’s capital.
My message to world leaders at #UNGA:
No matter the challenge or the hour, we must - and we will - overcome.
We must never give up.
For peace.
For dignity.
For justice.
For humanity.
For the world we know is possible when we work as one.
I will never, ever give up.
BREAKING: The Trump administration is deliberately throwing away long-standing precedent of sending a bipartisan delegation to the UN, blocking @RepSaraJacobs from joining the official delegation. @HouseGOP again refusing to stand up for the rights of Members not in their party.
Nothing can jusify the terror attacks by Hamas.
Nothing can justify the collective punishment of the Palestinian people.
All of it must stop.
@antonioguterres calls on world leaders to ensure the two-State solution prevails, for the people of Israel, Palestine and all humanity.
Greg Abbott hasn’t visited a Texas public school in years.
Public schools are closing across our state, but the governor is nowhere to be seen.
This is Abbott's school closure crisis.
Greg Abbott calls his voucher scam “school choice.”
But we already have school choice—neighborhood schools, charters, magnets, academies & more.
Vouchers don’t give us choice. Vouchers give our tax dollars to unaccountable private schools that can discriminate against our kids.
You act so tough on Twitter. Let's debate school vouchers in person.
You can pick the time, venue, format, and moderator. I'll be there.
What’s your answer, @GregAbbott_TX?
Thank you to the constituents of TX-09 for your support! I will continue to fight for a living wage, to protect social security, women's & LGBTQ+ rights, public schools, the innocent victims of wars—especially children— & those experiencing injustice or invidious discrimination.
