@MrNJobbins Too much anthropomorphism. Too much story boarding. Continuity errors for the sake of βdramaβ (swear the outcast male elephant was a female for a while, and as for the zebra foal...) too much βcuteβ.
@BBCSpringwatch@mooresounds@BBCTwo Heard that for the first time last week; displaying bird at Loch of Strathbeg. Almost like drumming snipe. Fascinating!
@costadeldeen @rob_yaxley So much wrong!! Scarf or scarfie is cormorant, never heard gow for a scurrie but gowk is a cuckoo. Horny gollach is an earwig!
@Skull_Bloke@Ben_garrod yup: A caveman fortune teller looks into a crystal ball for a customer "I see your little petrified skull, labelled and resting on a shelf somewhere."
@silverpebble yes, every time. helps when sharing with non-native-English speakers, full of information, and why not for kids? if they can cope with Tyrannosaurus rex etc, (and what kid canβt?) they can deal with a Sturnus vulgaris and have a good snigger to boot!
