@chumbosity@Throwawaymaking just a guess but i feel very strongly it will be true. After all, we all thought after chapter 2 we were gonna keep getting new party members and clearly that didn’t happen
better idea: what if it WAS an RPG
Deltarune is five (5) chapters in and has barely developed any of its RPG mechanics
Instead toby focused on a random ass oneoff zelda game and a random ass 2D platform mechanic both of which are thrown away after ONE (1) chapter each
@Throwawaymaking@chumbosity i liked the claws a lot, i’m glad to see them stay. But like in chapter 3 with the game boards chapter 5’s feather seems to be a one-time thing
@DionIsRealCN@lunaticveronica the fact that he was in the dark world (if it was him at all which isn’t all that clear) is very suspicious
Is So Sorry the knight??
@StarMinoto@AzulChrome42@DevMajorAbel To be fair he mever said his problem was with Zooble, it was with the sudden change to Jax’ character made outside the bounds of the show
@DefiantAsUsual It would have been better to focus on the RPG+Bullet hell gameplay many initially picked up the game for, rather than sidetrack us with a new style that robs the game of an opportunity to further flesh out its core mechanics in favor of a chapter-confined gimmick
@DefiantAsUsual Seems you may be misunderstanding my point. Outside of the Mantle game, there was precious little variety or progression between the various NES games even if technically there were “multiple”. I meant “one-off” in that the mechanic was only present in one chapter
